A short book bio…
“This book is long past due. I should have finished it many years ago. Actually, many parts of it were written long ago but I was the one that was not confident enough to finish. I felt like I had more to learn, more to see, and more roads to travel before I could continue, so I stopped writing. I went back to school, earned a Bachelor’s degree, went on to earn a Master’s degree and enrolled in a Leadership Doctorate program. I stopped writing, but I never stopped thinking. One thing that all leaders have in common is that they never do stop thinking, longing, and wondering about what they could or should do next. I sadly began to feel that I would be cheating myself, those closest to me, and those that can learn something from me if I did not write this.
The truth is that I never needed any degrees to write this. Only enough guts to share it with the rest of the world. Some of my deepest thoughts and most intimate feelings are now unshielded and open for judgment and criticism. I am shy by nature to those I am unfamiliar with. I have always been a listener, an observer, a planner and thinker, but now it’s time to talk. It’s time to give it to you straight and uncut.” Sonia Williams
